Method to grow

Soil : Well drained soils

Establishment : By seed or root slips

Seed rate : 0.5-1 kg/ha or 40,000 slips/ha at 50 x 50 cm

Fertilizer : 20 t/ha FYM,after each cut 200-225 kg nitrogen/ha

Cuts : 3-4 cuts in a year

Green fodder yield : 17-20 t/ha in 3 cuts
